    CIRCLES.COOP

    Product lead and UX designer

When I was invited to join the project, Circles.garden was already operational with an initial iteration that featured a different design and aligned with a previous corporate identity. I established the design principles for this new phase, guided by a decolonial vision,  a fresh aesthetic, with an emphasis on responsive design:

1.Inclusion: Every product or service tends to exclude certain individuals. Our approach to inclusive design at Circles is to understand and transparently address our exclusion processes. Striving to challenge existing privileges.

2.Autonomy: We believe in empowering people to take control of technology and modify it. We are committed to transparency in all decisions that involve privacy vulnerabilities or behavioral modifications. To support this, all our products and design work are free.

3.Feminist Approach: Care work is a fundamental aspect of design. We need to invest time to responsibly evaluate situations when making decisions. Designing for diverse needs in a world dominated by universal thinking sometimes requires creating solutions from the ground up, even if that means rejecting existing options that may seem easier.
